A Compelling Story of Heartbreaking Loss, Inspiring Faith, and a Newfound Love Strong Enough to Heal All Wounds.
Bill Dubrey is a sought-after plastic surgeon for LA’s prestigious and wealthy, and an equally sought-after bachelor. On the surface it appears he has it all—money, respect, and fame. Yet behind his aloof exterior lurks a tragic past that prevents him from finding lasting happiness.
All that changes on the day Kylee Stewart reenters his life. She alone knows Bill’s secret agony, and she is determined to help him face his past. During the years they’ve been apart, Kylee’s own life has been far from easy, but unlike Bill, she has turned to God in her need, finding a faith to which she desperately clings.
The tentative friendship they begin has Bill rethinking his stark future, yet he keeps his heart in check—afraid to commit, afraid to lose again. During Kylee’s darkest moment, when she needs him most, will he be there for her?

I loved the characterization in this book. The journey Bill takes was very real to me. Sometimes tragedy throws us off course for a time, and only love and faith can truly heal us. Thank you for this great (and romantic) read!A WORD ABOUT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS: I was surprised to see negative reviews here bashing Christian beliefs, which is so not the point of a review. Any single (or married) Christian feels it is VERY important to fall in love and marry someone who actively believes in God. So many important decisions we make in life are guided by our beliefs, and to marry someone who calls our beliefs "BS" or who feels left out because Christians might not be attracted to them really aren't looking at this book with its target audience in mind. That one of the characters longs to find a match who shares her faith, is something I feel everyone who believes in God and practices their religion will completely understand. This isn't hating or leaving someone out, but a desire to completely share all aspects of their lives. If you can't understand why a practicing Christian would want to marry a Christian, then what's the point of downloading a Christian-based novel?
The funny thing is, I didn't find any of this the point of the novel at all. It's about Bill's progression from someone who runs away when trials come to someone who is healed by love of a woman and becomes strong enough to face his fears. It's about a woman who already made a similar journey being tested once again, and how she must learn to see the good in someone despite their differences in faith WITHOUT giving up her future goals. (I hope to find someone like her one day.) Most of all, it's a good, fun read.

This Very Moment edition by Rachel Ann Nunes Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
This was a good story about healing of the soul as well as the body. I enjoyed reading about how Bill came to his faith. Both Kylee and Bill helped each other, first through friendship than through a love that sneaked up on them.
I thought the story was very interesting and it kept me wanting to read more! I was very happy with the way things turned out in the end.
Good read Ms. Rachel Ann Nunes. I enjoy reading Christian stories. thank you for providing a great page turning books.
Bill Dubrey and Kylee Stewart had known each other in France, but nothing prepared them for meeting again after all this time. They both had been through tragedy and carried heavy baggage. They seem so right for each other at first, but underneath problems were brewing. Bill has a tendency to run from pain and hurts, and Kylee has a hard time trusting the man she loves won't leave her again.
This is an excellent Christian romance, but Kylee is divorced if that's a deal-breaker for you. Her husband left her because they were having a Down's syndrome baby. The only mistake I saw was "slow" used when "slowly" was needed. I don't agree with Mauro's "Christian" view that there can't be life in any other place in space. I don't think it's probable, but My God is big enough it's possible. All in all, however, I enjoyed the novel much more than I expected. It was a feel-good read.
I really enjoyed this book about Bill and Kylee's road to finding love. While it was basically your typical romance with Bill having suffered a great tragedy that has turned him against God, I still found that it held my complete interest and never got boring. There was lots of interaction and dialogue between the two (I think I comment on this in all my reviews, but I do not like to read a romance where the hero and heroine seldom have contact or spend page after page on introspection about their past and why they cannot love again, or long descriptions of scenery), and the story moved quickly. Found sentence structure to be good as well--this can sometimes ruin an otherwise great book with short simple sentences that continually begin with "He" or "She". Guess that sounds dumb but surely someone out there feels the same. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a clean romance. However, if you do not like a Christian-themed book then this will probably not be for you. Happy reading and God bless!
Rachel Ann Nunes wrote a book called This Very Moment, which I read last month and am just getting around to reviewing. I like and enjoy reading this author. Was this one high literature? No. But was it entertaining and a fun read? Sure.
I like the idea of the two of these people riding to the rescue of children with disfiguring facial problems. I don't understand the doctor's reasoning behind being a plastic surgeon and yet not wanting to help children. I would think that if it's that much of a problem, he'd have gone into something else. And why did he need to change his name? Not enough of a reason in my humble opinion. It would have been cool to bring a bigger element of suspense into it.
This, to me, is a book about learning to stop running and take a stand. There's got to be a time when you grow beyond the things you fear. The doctor in this book does that. I applaud him for the courage it took to take another look at someone he would just have tossed away before, because she was too demanding that he leave his comfort zone.
I like the doctor's struggle with what he believes religiously. Many people, upon having major struggles in their lives, have this sort of struggle. They ask themselves, "What's God doing up there? Does he care about me or about xxxxxx?" It's easier for some than for others to accept religious beliefs or ideas at face value. Others have to test it. This book kept me reading in hopes that at some time he'd finally figure it out on all counts.
I like that this book asks some religious questions. Any person of conviction wants to marry someone who shares those convictions. I think those who wrote negative reviews based on their dislike of the Christian religion have missed the point of the book. The struggle to marry someone with whom a person is compatible is a very real plot point. I think Rachel handled it well.
More Rachel Ann Nunes, please...o) She doesn't disappoint.
